The first round of companies to participate in the 2020 NAB Show as part of the Sprockit Startup Recruitment 2020 cohort has been announced. The 2020 NAB Show, which will be held in April in Las Vegas, is the world’s largest convention on media, entertainment, and tech and aims to bring together professionals in the fields to share solutions and advance the digital storytelling economy. The 2020 cohort will have the opportunity to network with key business leaders and attend award ceremonies to increase industry exposure.
As the show approaches, Sprockit’s media, entertainment, and technology global marketplace gears up to support innovative startups through funding and professional development. Sprockit, which partners with major corporations including Comcast and Google, has helped over 150 companies raise more than $1 billion and facilitated hundreds of partnerships and acquisitions between companies in their focused sector.
Participating startups come both nationally and internationally, including Paris, Canada and Israel, each offering a unique service or product in the tech, entertainment, and media space. In order to be a part of the Startup Recruitment, companies must pay $15,000 a year, though the cost is offset through $100,000 worth of credit for AWS Activate and $20,000 worth of credit for the Google Cloud Startup community.
“Sprockit startups continue to transform the media, entertainment and technology sector, resulting in seven acquisitions in 2019 and raising more than 1 billion USD in funding overall since we began in 2013,” said Harry M. Glazer, founder and CEO, Sprockit. “We look forward to showcasing our next cohort in the Sprockit Pavilion at NAB Show this year.
