CES 2023 scheduled for January 5th-8th will once again bring together the best and most innovative technology from around the world. The annual event also showcases great tech startups that are located in the CES’ startup arena “Eureka Park”.  This year the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) is hosting 36 Japanese startups in the Japan (J-Startup) Pavilion.

In 2018 the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) launched J-Startup, to help startups compete globally and further their innovation. The 36 entrants represent a portion of the 140 startups that were selected competitively to receive a range of resources and support through the collaboration of JETRO, METI and other public agencies.

Many of the selected Japanese startups will present at various pitch and media events during the weeklong CES event.  In order to optimize networking and communication between visitors and startups, JETRO also set up a café area in the Japan Pavilion.

Other top show events for the Japanese startups and others include:

• Launch.IT, a startup pitch where entrepreneurs and innovators meet 1-on-1,

• CES Unveiled, a media-targeted event hosted the night before CES that previews the best new products and ideas, and

• ShowStoppers, a media agency and technology showcase where journalists can meet directly with startups and large companies.
