Milwaukee-based Socialeads, Inc.,a machine learning and AI platform for the financial services industry, announced a $750K seed round from top investors that will be used to launch a pilot supporting Northwestern Mutual’s financial advisors. This follows the startup’s win last fall at Northhwestern Mutual’s Reverse Pitch competition that gave them their first seed money to develop the solution they proposed for a Northwestern Mutual problem presented in the competition.
The platform leverages natural language processing with machine learning to give financial service companies the depth, size, and value of personal and professional social networks. Through these insights, companies can leverage proprietary enterprise sales and marketing data to improve quality growth in trusted advisor relationships, network connections, and lead generation.
The Wisconsin-focused Winnebago Seed Fund led the seed round that includes additional funds from Northwestern Mutual’s Cream City Venture Capital and the job creation focused BrightStar Wisconsin Foundation.
“The Winnebago Seed Fund and their commitment to growing advanced technology companies make them a perfect partner,” said Socialeads CEO Larry Hitchcock. “We’re also excited to have continued support from Cream City Venture Capital and the amazing people at Northwestern Mutual who have been instrumental in collaborating with us to bring the vision of Socialeads to reality.”
This round of funding doesn’t just support Socialeads’ goals, but also furthers the Winnebago Seed Fund’s commitment to invest in Wisconsin entrepreneurs who launch and grow startups across the state. This marks their third startup funded as well as their largest investment so far.
