Supporting U.S. Communities with $13.8 Million in Grants
The grants are part of Takeda’s U.S. Corporate Philanthropy Program, which has contributed $67.9 million since 2021 to support nonprofit community solutions that advance access to nutritious food and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education.

2025 Nonprofit Grant Recipients
This year’s funding will support a diverse group of nonprofit organizations making tangible differences nationwide:
- Daily Table (Massachusetts): An affordable, nonprofit grocery store expanding with two new locations in Greater Boston.
- Fresh Truck (Massachusetts): Provides fresh produce to Boston neighborhoods through mobile markets and community pop-ups.
- Food is Medicine Coalition (National): Delivers medically tailored meals and nutrition services across the United States.
- The Food Group (Minnesota): Promotes healthy eating with a food ranking framework shared nationwide.
- Learn Fresh (National): Expanding STEM education programs and sports partnerships in Boston and beyond.
- STEM Next Opportunity Fund (National): Builds math confidence and expands out-of-school STEM programs nationwide.
- Young People’s Project (National): Enhances math and STEM literacy through peer-based programs across the U.S.

One such partner, Learn Fresh, has seen transformative growth through Takeda’s grants. “Takeda’s support has transformed our capacity to serve students in Boston and nationwide,” said Nick Monzi, CEO and co-founder. “We have doubled our team, launched new programs, and reached over 800,000 students.”
Takeda’s 2024 U.S. Community Impact Report: Advancing Equity and Inclusion
Alongside the new grant awards, Takeda released its 2024 U.S. Community Impact Report. This annual publication highlights Takeda’s nationwide efforts to promote health equity, nutritious food access, and STEM education, while fostering a diverse workforce and inclusive corporate culture.
