Jeanne Gray is the Publisher of American Entrepreneurship Today®, a national media platform covering entrepreneurship, innovation, startups, funding, and emerging technology across the United States.
A lifelong builder of businesses, Jeanne brings both operator experience and ecosystem-level perspective to her reporting. She was awarded U.S. Small Business Administration Journalist of the Year for founding and publishing one of the first websites dedicated to promoting a state’s innovation ecosystem—work that helped elevate founders, investors, and support organizations at a time when “startup communities” were still taking shape.
Jeanne has also played a hands-on role in founder development and ecosystem programming. She hosted New Jersey’s first statewide entrepreneurship conferences for three consecutive years and led a grant program that trained fundraising entrepreneurs to craft investor-ready pitches and communicate their growth strategy with clarity.
Her national coverage has included major entrepreneurship milestones, including receiving White House press credentials in 2016 to cover the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Silicon Valley. She has also contributed thought leadership to the broader entrepreneurship community, including providing a testimonial for Startup Leadership, the first book by Princeton entrepreneurship professor Derek Lidow.
Jeanne is the host of the podcast Experienced Voices™, a production of American Entrepreneurship Today, featuring accomplished entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators who share the decisions, strategies, and lessons behind real-world success.
She is also an educator and curriculum designer: for more than eight years, she has taught Operations for a Growing Business—a course she created—as an instructor with Rutgers University’s Center for Urban Entrepreneurship & Economic Development through the Entrepreneurship Pioneers Initiative.
Awarded the NJBIZ Top 50 Women in Business by NJBIZ, Jeanne also advises entrepreneurs and small business owners through her consulting firm, VenturePetri.com—bringing practical, in-the-trenches insight to her coverage of how companies are built, financed, and scaled.
