Dress for the Day (DFTD), a fashion web site that helps users decide what to wear, announced the launch of its newly redesigned 2.0 version. The New York startup runs on user-generated content, and inspires outfits for any occasion, while keeping pace with the latest in fashion.
Dress For the Day is very excited about the new website, saying that “The site is cleaner, brighter, crisper and easier than ever to use.”
The redesign includes a dramatic overhaul to the entire website experience. Before, users could shop through a wide array of outfits and looks, but now the site also features an “Upload Your Look” button. This will allow users to create an account and submit their own personalized “Streetstyle Look” to be featured on the site. This feature makes the site much more user-driven than ever before.
In addition, the redesign includes one-click shopping, streamlining the shopping experience. “We’ve shortened your clicking time to just one click so that you can fill up shopping carts and get to check-out faster than you can say “Streetstyle!” declared DFTD co-founder Anisha Bhasin Mukherjee.
Dress For the Day also added new “Trending Looks” and “Trending Pieces” pages to incorporate a popularity element into the site.
The site is also now fully mobile and tablet responsive. The 2.0 version enables smartphone users to browse DFTD, upload a look and get inspired, quickly and easily.
DFTD paid attention to what users wanted and made the changes. When announcing the new and more efficient 2.0 version, they said, “Our 2.0 version means browsing, shopping and uploading your Streetstyle Look from your cell will be a cinch!”
