Students and faculty alike will be able to demonstrate, display, and showcase their research at the upcoming Stevens Institute of Technology’s Annual Innovation Expo, taking place May 3rd. The event encompass the whole Stevens campus, and will feature lectures from Kamran Sayrafian, Ph.D., and Tim Urban; the latter will be delivering this year’s Thomas H. School Lecture by Visiting Entrepreneurs.
The event begins with an opportunity to view faculty research, senior design projects, and Stevens’ start-up companies. Areas of focus include health care and wellness, infrastructure and sustainable systems, defense and security, energy, and products, services, and entertainment.
Kamran Sayrafian, Ph.D., is a program lead and senior scientist at the Information Technology Laboratory of NIST. He will be delivering this year’s research lecture, titled, “Human Body, The Final Frontier”. The research lecture serves as a key component of the Innovation Expo’s research program.
Tim Urban, the author of the blog “Wait But Why” and co-founder of ArborBridge, will be lecturing as part of the Thomas H. Scholl Lecture by Visiting Entrepreneurs. His lecture is titled, “The Cook and the Chef: What We Can Learn from How Elon Musk Thinks”.
