Strategic partnership with hospitality leader Accor brings astronaut training and luxury hospitality together for its global customers.

Space training and explorer operations company Orbite will be bringing the excitement and adventure of space travel to a global customer base. It recently announced the closing of a $4 million Series A funding round to expand its efforts across several areas. The most exciting and novel is its “Experience Train Fly Program,” offering immersive journeys into space exploration based in locales of luxury and comfort.

“Our global customers are eager to participate in the growing space economy,” said Jason Andrews, CEO of Orbite. “Our Experience Train Fly Program and our partnership with Accor offer a unique opportunity for people to experience space today in a luxurious setting.” Accor is one of the world’s leading hospitality companies.

Orbite, based in Seattle, Washington, offers its global customers the experience of tailored training for all levels of space readiness and customized flight missions for the pleasure and adventure of space enthusiasts.

The company’s space experience programs begin in 2025. Using NASA’s astronaut training as a model, Orbite’s “sophicated guests” enjoy an immersive experience that combines education, training, health and wellness, provided in partnership with Accor to create a unique space hospitality experience.

Customers may now secure their spot taking place at one of the following global venues:

  • Living in Space: An immersive journey into the future of space habitats, held in Paris, France, with prices starting at $19,500 per person for 3 days/4 nights. The venue includes engagement with executives at the National French Space Agency, National Centre for Space Studies, astronaut training sessions, a Tour of Interstellar Labs BioFarm, five-star accommodations and more.
  • Space Health: Similarly priced as the Living In Space program and stay, this program is a specialized experience focusing on wellness and the physical demands of space, based in Curaçao, Caribbean.
  • Sea-Space Odyssey: Prices starting at $29,500 per person, the program is an undersea adventure that simulates the mental and operational challenges of spaceflight through three submarine dives off the coast of Curaçao. Guests perform mission tasks similar to a spacecraft with an expert astronaut instructor and submersible pilot instructors.

“You don’t become an astronaut in a day,” said Nicolas Gaume, executive chairman of Orbite. “Astronaut training is a journey that takes time. With the continued support of our visionary shareholders and Accor’s unmatched expertise in hospitality, we are creating a truly holistic experience for our guests – one that seamlessly blends professional space preparation with luxury hospitality – as they embark on their spaceflight journey.”

With funding in place, Orbite will further scale its operations, accelerate its sales and marketing efforts and continue the pre-development for its inaugural Spaceflight Gateway Campus—specialized commercial astronaut training facilities to reimagine the human spaceflight experience.

Orbite’s mission is to “inspire, equip, and safely prepare a new generation of space travelers to embark on the journey of a lifetime”.
