Gathering key business leaders from across the nation, APPNATION and the Chief Digital Officer Global Forum joined forces on July 21 to hold the Internet of Things (IoT) Influencers Summit. This all-day event was packed with exhibits, showcases and presentations at the Levi’s Stadium in Silicon Valley, home to the San Francisco 49ers and Super Bowl 50. Taking advantage of a venue described as “the most technologically advanced stadium in the world”, the event included a VIP Lunch and reception on the Levi’s Stadium 50-yard line.

The IoT Influencers Summit is intended to provide insight on IoT development and investment through sessions on topics including the business case for IoT app development and leveraging IoT to drive consumer engagement. This year’s event featured over 85 speakers including Al Guido, Chief Operating Officer of the 49ers; Sean Blankenship, Chief Marketing Officer of Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC and Daniel Kaufman, Deputy Director of Consumer Protection of the Federal Trade Commission.

Kicking off the event was Bruce Sinclair, President of IoT Inc. who presented “Early Bird Academy: The A-B-C’s of IoT”, introducing beginners to the basics of IoT. Following a welcome introduction from Drew Ianni, Founder & Event Chairman of the IoT Influncers Summit; Al Guido, COO of the San Francisco 49ers and John M. Paul, CEO and Founver of VenueNext led the opening keynote titled, “The Internet of Things and the New Customer Relationship.” This session explained how the Internet of Things is disrupting the way that companies engage with consumers, partners and employees.

The one-day event was tightly packed with sessions on endless topics that included understanding consumer demands, connecting with fans in the sports and entertainment industry, identifying the future of the Apple watch and wearable devices, using IoT to enrich mobile experiences, understanding the importance of personalization for IoT and countless more.
