Based in New York but offering startups across the US the opportunity to found businesses targeting Chinese markets, Lair East Labs is now open for applications for their 2018 accelerator class until November 17th. With an early application deadline on October 20th, the accelerator runs for 10 weeks and teaches startups the skills to optimize products, identify markets, and build partnerships in China.
Lair East Labs’ accelerator is specifically looking for startups with software or software-related products with B2B or B2C focuses, as well as those on AI or blockchain. The accelerator is not industry-specific or vertical. It prefers two to four person teams with at least one person having a strong technical background.
The program breaks down to 7 weeks of product development in New York City, with the final 3 weeks in China where startups meet with Series A and Seed investors.
Not only is the program open to any technical startup in any industry, it also welcomes applications from startups outside of the United States. Previous portfolio companies from the S17 incubator class include Eximchain, a platform for contract-based supply chain finance solutions, and Lemon2ade which leverages technology to deploy machines connected to an advertising network for increased business exposure and better public experience.
