Dcode is offering a Fintech and Blockchain accelerator for emerging tech companies wishing to work with government agencies, with applications open until August 9th. Startups with $1 to $14 million in revenue or funding equivalent and companies with $14 to $150 million in revenue or funding equivalent are welcome to apply.
Dcode helps startups and emerging growth companies develop business with the government through accelerators, platforms, and tools, simplifying the process for companies with little or no experience setting up a government practice. They are focused on open data, cyber security, health IT, enterprising software, Internet of Things, big data, and other technology-centric areas.
The company’s website talks about the importance of adopting fintech and blockchain technologies, saying that, “If government works to adopt these technologies at the speed of the private sector, there could be massive benefits to issues surrounding fraud, payments and benefits, the security and auditability of the supply chain, and possibly eliminate the need for humans to sit in the middle of contracts, transactions, and verifications.”
The accelerator runs for three months, with space for 6-10 companies evaluated based on level of innovation, financials, market fit, and existing traction from customers. Dcode has existing partnerships with several United States government agencies, including the Department of the Interior, Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Energy, NASA, and 14 others.
