The North Carolina Charlotte Chamber of Commerce’s Year-End Economic Growth Report for Mecklenburg County named fintech provider AvidXchange as a job-growth leader for 2017. AvidXchange hired over 400 workers in 2017, adding to the nearly 13,000 jobs created by more than 1,000 businesses in the County for 2017—making it the strongest year for job announcements since 2014. It was a 16% increase from 2016.

AvidXchange offers automated invoice and payment processes to midmarket companies across multiple industries including construction, energy, financial services, and real estate. This recognition by the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce is the latest in AvidXchange’s awards, including ranking in Red Herring’s top 100 technology companies in North America, and being recognized as one of the 50 fastest-growing private companies in Charlotte for six years consecutively.

“Our new campus in the AvidXchange Music Factory has, and will continue to be, a catalyst to recruit high-energy, collaborative, and innovative technology talent. I believe a state-of-the-art technology campus was a huge driver for the growth that the Charlotte Chamber’s report pointed to,” commented Todd Cunningham, SVP of Human Capital and Talent Development for AvidXchange. “We recruit nationally, and have attracted talent from Silicon Valley, Boston, and other top technology hubs in the country with our unique and vibrant culture – this culture and the campus will continue to be a wonderful asset for us as we expand our employee base with additional high performers.”

AvidXchange plans on-going growth, hoping to reach a combined Charlotte workforce of over 1,000 in 2018.
