Startlab New York, a technology incubator, has opened applications for future programs to tech startups entering North America.

The project, launched by Bank of Ireland, hopes to help grow and scale tech startups that are entering the country, and is a first-of-its-kind offering from an Irish bank outside of Ireland.

“Our goal with Startlab New York is to give the opportunity for scaling technology companies from Ireland a landing pad right in the heart of Manhattan. On top of that, we want to give them access to really great connections so they can get straight down to business and start scaling their companies in North America.”, said Gene Murphy, Entrepreneur in Residence for Bank of Ireland’s Innovation team.

The inaugural program run by Startlab New York will give seven technology companies access to free co-working space in New York for one year, with Bank of Ireland making introductions on their behalf to state agencies, relevant intermediaries in the city, and key venture capitalists.
