Urban-X, a venture accelerator based in Brooklyn, has opened applications for their third cohort.
The venture accelerator was founded by MINI in partnership with SOSV, the third largest worldwide seed investor, with the goal of advocating, educating, and investing in startups interested in changing the future of cities through design and technology.
The cohort itself will run for fourteen weeks, starting late this summer. The program includes network-building and product development, mentorship from electrical and mechanical engineers, interface and user-experience designers, Industrial design talent from BMW and MINI, and communications, growth hacking, and sales support.
The program also offers $60,000 in seed capital investment for 7% equity, working trips to MINI Headquarters in Munich and SOSV’s facilities in Shenzhen, plus Demo-Day experience to give those enrolled a platform to present business concepts and market-ready prototypes to media, investors, and thought leaders.
‘If you’re passionately working on a product or service that addresses the shifting challenges of life in cities, we want to meet you.”, the website says.
Applications open through May 31st.
