Nominations are currently pen for the 2nd Annual Timmy Awards in New York City, which searches for the city’s best tech startup. The event will be hosted by national events organization Tech In Motion.
Nominations are free, and the categories include “NYC’s Best Tech Startup,” as well as categories for “NYC’s Best Technology Manager” and “NYC’s Best Technology Work Culture.” Nominations are due April 15th, after which the NYC tech community will vote on award winners April 20th – May 12th.
The Timmy Awards winners and nominees will then be recognized at a gala event at Subculture on May 19th, which will include music, cocktails and product demos from past Tech In Motion “Audience Favorites.”
The purpose of the Timmys is to “recognize the best places for technology professionals to work,” the organization said in a press release.
The New York event is one of three Timmy Awards held by Tech In Motion, joined by events in Boston and Philadelphia. Last year’s Timmy award winners include TripAdvisor, Instacart, and Venmo.
