Selected companies represent 10 of the 13 southeastern U.S. States
On September 27th and September 28th at The Woodruff Arts Center and Atlanta Symphony Hall, Venture Atlanta will hold one of the top funding conferences in the country. Over 350 funds, accounting for $17 billion in successful exits, will be there, drawing over 1300 attendees.
Startups, early and growth-stage tech companies have the opportunity to pitch and network with investors. Over 550 applications were made to the Conference of which 83 have been selected to participate.
The selected companies represent 14 sectors from 10 of the 13 southeastern states, 61% outside of Georgia. Twenty-eight percent are led by female founders and 39% led by diverse founders. Forty-one are seed stage, with 21 early stage and 21 growth stage.
On the first day pre-seed and seed startups will pitch at the Venture Atlanta Startup Showcase Live, with selected finalists vying for a first-time prize of $500,000 on the second day.
Early stage and Growth stage companies will pitch to a live audience with a large portion of investors in attendance, seeking the best companies in the southeastern U.S.
Other benefits to pitching companies includes coaching and mentoring prior to the pitch, admittance to the exclusive VA Investor Dinner, a free press kit, year-round networking and more.
While pitching and elbow rubbing between entrepreneurs and funders serve as the center of the event, the agenda includes top name speakers:

- Tyler Scriven, Founder & CEO, Saltbox

Participation in the pitching event is limited to 13 states located in the southeast U.S.: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington DC.
Over the course of 16 years, Venture Atlanta has helped launch more than 760 companies and raise $7.5 billion in funding to date, with over $17 billion in successful exits.
