The report placed EVBox and ChargePoint at the top in the highly competitive and fragmented market.
Scott Shepard, a senior research Analyst with Navigant Research, spoke about what makes these two companies the strongest, saying, “EVBox and ChargePoint are Leaders in this assessment due to their current strength and presence in the market, breadth of products, and adaptability to the changing dynamics of the charging market.”
The market is expected to grow 680% in the next decade alone and is expected to bring opportunities as the charging networks engage with the grid. Currently many competitors and companies share overlapping territories while striving to become the leading operator within a region. Utilities show interest in the possibility of the charging equipment being used in grid services, leading some companies to partner with utility providers ahead of the predicted explosive growth over the next decade.
