NYC Tech Talent Pipeline along with Microsoft and City University of New York announced the establishment of Tech Jobs Academy at the CUNY’s New York City College of Technology a new program for New York City residents seeking a new career in technology.

Tech Jobs Academy is a full-time program reserved for 25 unemployed and underemployed New York City residents. The 16 week program and hopes to attract people who have the passion and aptitude for learning the intricacies of technology.

The eligibility requirements include being 18 years of age or older, having a high school diploma, being unemployed or underemployed, and being a New York City resident, among others.

Tech Jobs Academy students will develop skills in cloud and server administration, as well as building professional skills to help them pursue a job upon completion.

The curriculum will include designing and implementing server infrastructure, building and integrating Azure infrastructure, Deep Drive into Powershell 3.0, learning windows server fundamentals, as well as preparing and reviewing resumes and improving interview skills.

Info sessions were offered throughout the month of October. The final info session will take place Oct. 20 at 7pm at Civic Hall, New York, NY.

Applications will be accepted and reviewed until Oct. 23.
