Aiming to “transform lifestyles through ICT”, SoftBank Corp. has launched its “SoftBank Innovation Program“ where selected applicants will compete for an opportunity to commercialize their innovations using SoftBank resources. Ranging from startups to big corporations, participating companies will develop innovative concepts into actual products, services and solutions.
From now until September 30, applications will be accepted for innovations in four categories: Smart Homes, Connected Vehicles, Digital Marketing and Healthcare. SoftBank will assist selected applicants by providing an environment for test marketing, funding for prototype development and more. Program finalists will be able to utilize SoftBank resources for product deployment including sales channels in Japan and other subsidiary companies in the SoftBank Group including Brightstar Corp. and Sprint Corp.
A guidance session to be held on August 19 in Tokyo will provide further details for applicants on the four categories, themes and the program itself.
