Companies such as John Deere, GE Appliances use Slipbots to load and unload any truck in minutes, greatly improving supply chain operations efficiency.

Loading and unloading truck trailers are major logistical challenges for loading dock operations across industries. Slip Robotics addresses these supply chain inefficiencies with its next-generation automated truck-loading robots-as-a-service solution.

Customers John Deere, Nissan, other manufacturers, and logistic operators are now using the startup’s technology. Their workers can auto-load and auto-unload any truck in just 5 minutes using SlipBots, in comparison to conventional loading times of 30 to 60 minutes.

Most importantly the idling time of truckers estimated to be 23% of a trucker’s workday is significantly reduced. In addition, companies experience a reduction in the high incidence of accidents by forklift operators who are pressed to quickly move large amounts of cargo.

The SlipBots, in use for 24/7 production operations, distinguish themselves from competing automated solutions by handling any freight type, at any dock, with no infrastructure modification, and without any Wi-Fi or complex IT integration required. Such broad applicability and ease of deployment are fueling Slip’s rapid adoption and expansion with customers.

“Slip’s solutions don’t just represent the future—they solve today’s challenges. We’re moving freight faster, more safely, and at a lower cost for industry-leading brands across the supply chain,” said Chris Smith, CEO and co-founder of Slip Robotics.

The Georgia-based startup was founded in 2020 by former Tesla, Cummins, GE, and Waymo engineers. They have the enthusiastic support of their investors.

“Modernizing loading and unloading is an enormous problem waiting to be solved. Slip Robotics is driving a level of change in the supply chain industry not seen since the containerization of sea freight,” said James Hardiman, General Partner at DCVC. “Their solutions are not just theoretical—they work, and they deliver value and scale today.”

DCVC, a leading Silicon Valley venture capital firm specializing in deep tech, led the recently closed $28 million Series B round. This brings Slip’s total to date raise to $45 million from repeat investors such as Eve Atlas, Tech Square Ventures, Hyde Park Venture Partners, Overline, and Pathbreaker Ventures.

The additional funding positions Slip Robotics to accelerate change in one of the most labor-intensive parts of logistics. The company will expand its team to support its rapid growth, enhance its product offerings, and further its research and development to deliver greater customer value.

Riding momentum the founding team is committed to these initiatives that will strengthen the company’s ability to transform loading dock operations across industries.
