Following the conclusion of a 12-week educational program for startups, 10 entrepreneur finalists vied for a $25,000 investment grand prize at FounderTrac’s Demo Day.  Held on April 3rd in Annapolis, Maryland over 200 attendees filled the venue that included a high turnout of angel investors and venture capitalists.

The first place winner was MileMarker which leverages technology to enhance medical training assessment. The web-based software was developed by surgeons for surgeons from Johns Hopkins University and University of Maryland. It offers efficiencies in medical training by enabling residents to initiate assessments themselves, shortening feedback loops to provide more personalized and adaptive learning.

FounderTrac is an innovative incubator program supported through a $125,000 grant awarded through the 2017 TEDCO Entrepreneur’s Expo.  It also receives collaborative support from LAUNCH! Annapolis, MCVC Partners, and the Maryland Technology Council.  MCVC provided the $25,000 investment to the winner.
