Set to take place at the revitalized Brooklyn Navy Yard on May 3-6, Smart Cities NYC ’17 hopes to combine technology and urban life to reimagine the future of global smart cities.
The expo will combine public events from across the city with showcases on emerging technologies and infrastructure through three themes – Construct, Converge, and Connect.
These entail interactive trade shows and exhibitions featuring local, national and global organizations, as well as interactive conversations where speakers and attendees will explore questions like, “How do we revitalize our infrastructure so that it can keep pace with the growing populations of our cities?”
In addition, three keynotes speakers are set to deliver speeches: Gregory Treverton, former Chairman of the National Intelligence Council, Robert Wolf, Chairman and co-founder of Measure, and Christopher Cavanagh, Principal Program Manager at National Grid.
The expo chose the Brooklyn Navy yard as the location because it “embodies the innovation, inspiration, and ingenuity transforming urban spaces around our city.”
