On November 11th, Shop.Co – a leading developer in the world of online shopping – announced the release of the beta phase of its new browser, which will enable users to interlink their favorite shopping websites and purchase items in a single-click, secure fashion. This Buy Button is the first of its kind, as Jay Habib, CEO of Shop.Co, explained in an earlier press release, “Paypal, Apple, Google and American Express are all testing their own buy buttons, but those buttons don’t belong to you. Shop.Co is the first and only buy button that belongs to the consumer [with] no more login passwords or guest registration, and no more entering credit card numbers, since all preferences are stored securely inside you one personal Buy Button “.
The consumer’s ownership of Shop.Co’s unique Buy Button enables customers to view a universal shopping cart across multiple retail sites and provides ease of access, even from vendors who do not have one-click options. In addition, because the Buy Button operates on Artificial Intelligence (A.I.), it does not require that the shopping websites be integrated with Shop.Co’s technology. The universality of the button also provides users with an inbox where all receipts from multiple websites will be stored in one location.
Features of Shop.Co Buy Button also include:
-Global Dashboard – allows users to view and magage all purchases in one place
-No need for registration – does not require users to go through the steps of signing up with a website to purchase something.
-Direct connection with Amazon – provides users with Prime benefits.
The Buy Button is available as a free extension compatible with Chrome, Firefox, and Safari browsers. In addition to the announcement of the Beta phase for the Buy Button, Shop.Co also revealed that it had raised $2 million in seed funding from investors at BCG, with finance partners including Silicon Valley bank and Commerzbank. With the additional support of investors, Dieter Heusel – Chairman of BCG – stated that the Buy Button is projected to be seen as ” a solution in the ecommerce market that is easy, secure, and intelligent”.
