Diana Kyser McNeff, who was appointed in August as the interim Director of Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurship in Madison, New Jersey, expects to continue her interim position through January. The university search committee continues to review candidates to permanently fill the position vacated by James Barrood this past summer. Barrood departed Rothman after sixteen years to take the head position at the New Jersey Tech Council located in Mt. Laurel.
McNeff shared in a recent interview that she is one of the candidates under consideration for the permanent Director position, while she notes that the application period remains open. McNeff has been active in the Institute for many years as an adjunct professor in programs such as Teen Business Camp, Veterans Launching Veterans, judging business plan and idea competitions, and serving as a mentor for Startup Weekend.
She has an entrepreneurial background that includes a software development firm that she sold in 1988. She co-founded C3i, Inc., a venture-funded global technology solutions firm with revenues of $75M that was recently acquired by Telerx, a Merck Global Health Innovation portfolio company. She has held leadership positions in marketing, customer care, operations and human resources in both large corporations and startups. She is currently “the founding partner of COO on Demand, where she brings her operational and entrepreneurial expertise to mid-sized companies to help them refine their execution strategies and formalize operations to scale and grow.”
Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurship is part of the Silberman College of Business with the mission to teach and support entrepreneurship and innovation in the academic, business and nonprofit communities.
