The Point 25 Initiative announced that its latest fall series is open for startup applications until October 1st. The Initiative will match women-led startups with C-level advisors for their company’s advisory board over the course of days, November 7th, 9th, 14th, and 16th at the law offices of Davis Wright Tremaine based in NYC.
Each of the four events features four potential advisors meeting with about 16 companies, and a reception after the hour-long event for further interaction. The focus of these events is strictly for advisory boards and not fundraising, with interested entrepreneurs and potential advisors encouraged to continue discussions after the events to determine exact levels of involvement, equity incentives, and other matters.
The previous initiative took place during the summer, with several testimonials from attending women entrepreneurs being shared on Point 25’s website. One such testimonial stated that, “The intimacy of the Point 25 event gave me a chance to connect with professional advisors and fellow female founders in a meaningful and substantive way. Everyone I met was impressive and offered high quality advice and leads. Point 25 stood out for me as one of the best curated networking events of the year.”
Advisors for the fall initiative include Plum Alley CEO and founder, Deborah Jackson, Tiffany & Co. SVP, secretary, and general counsel Leigh Harlan, SheKnows Media president and chief revenue officer Samantha Skey, Techstars managing director Jenny Fielding, and 12 others.
