On March 18-19, PYMNTS.com will host The Innovation Project 2015, a two day event on the Harvard University campus, focused on thought leadership surrounding payments innovation and its ongoing impact. Leading up to the event PYMNTS.com is conducting an online vote to select the winners in 16 categories. Over 80 finalists were chosen from the over 600 submissions received. Voting will remain open until February 25th.

PYMNTS.com’s site is seeking to reinvent the way in which companies in payments share relevant information about the initiatives that shape the future of payments and commerce and make news.   PYMNT.com serves as “the premier source of news and commentary on innovation in payments and commerce,” according to the event’s announcement. The event will host over two days the thought leadership comprised of prestigious members of the payments and commerce industry. The theme-Innovation at the Intersections -will discuss the environment of the payments industry and how external factors are reconstructing the functions of payments and commerce.

After opening remarks from the PYMNTS CEO Karen Webster, the conference will feature Tim Berners-Lee, the inventor of the World Wide Web, who will lead a discussion amongst CEOs on how the internet is driving payments and commerce to evolve both online and offline. Winners of the online voting will be announced during a ceremony on March 19th to conclude the conference on the campus of Harvard University.
