Having recently surpassed 10 million users since its launch in 2008, ParkMobile’s mobility solutions and smart parking application continues its rapid growth. Roughly 1 million new users are added every 80 days, according to the company’s press statement.
This expansion across America is due to new innovative functionality such as offering event reservations, the ability to find and pay for electronic vehicle charging and its on-street parking availability feature. The technology is in use at over 3,000 locations.
“We are very excited about the growth trajectory of our company, and more importantly, that drivers can now use just one app to park nearly everywhere they go across the U.S.,” said ParkMobile CEO, Jon Ziglar. “With approximately 1 in 20 U.S. drivers registered for ParkMobile, it is a clear sign that smart mobility solutions have moved beyond ‘early adopters’ and now have broad appeal to consumers everywhere.”
The company continues its focus on major markets, with entry into Tampa, FL, Berkeley, CA, and Tulsa, OK, along with 1,000 new parking garages in 2018 alone. Already available in 7 of the nation’s top 10 cities, ParkMobile’s launch in Alexandria, Virginia this September will make it easier to pay for parking via one app serving the entire DC metro area that includes surrounding state counties.
