Newark Venture Partners (NVP), investors in seed and Series A companies, is now accepting applications for its 12 week accelerator program. The program runs from April 3rd to June 27th at their headquarters located in the Audible building in Newark. The deadline to apply is February 28th.
NVP provides an opportunity for tech entrepreneurs to leverage Newark Venture Partners’ wide range of resources. Mentorship and support will be provided by experts from companies and organizations such as Audible, Prudential, Dun & Bradstreet, and Rutgers University Business School. Participants have use of a large co-working space that enables entrepreneurs to build relationships within Newark’s tech ecosystem and the surrounding region.
Upon completion of the program, companies receive a $100,000 investment in exchange for a 6% equity stake. NVP is capable of making additional investments up to $1 million. Additionally, entrepreneurs will have access to NVP’s investor network with a guaranteed co-investment when they achieve their first venture financing.
Newark Venture Partners focuses on technology in segments such as marketplaces, B2B, B2C, and IoT among others. Applicants should have at least 2 founders and a small workforce, as well as a combination of business domain proficiency and a capacity for in-house tech development. In addition, ventures who have gained traction in their market are highly desirable.
