The Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) is seeking nominees for its National Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week conference awards. The deadline is June 15th at 11:59 pm, ET for the nomination of minority entrepreneurs, organizations and individuals that have shown a commitment to advancing minority business enterprises.
The MBDA will host its annual National MED Week conference this coming September. In addition to the award recognitions, the event also presents informational sessions and programming, as well as interactive networking sessions. The Week features an awards ceremony where minority entrepreneurs, organizations and individuals are honored, which is considered “the highest national recognition a minority-owned firm can receive from the U.S. Department of Commerce”.
President Biden will proclaim September 12-18 as ‘National Minority Enterprise Week’ to coincide with MBDA’s 2021 National MED Week. The conference will be held virtually with the theme of “Reimagining Opportunity” and the endless possibilities ahead for the minority business community.
