The 65 medtech startups were chosen from 1500 applicants and represent the top 4% of medtech ventures worldwide.

MedTech Innovator (MTI), the world’s largest and most influential accelerator for medical technology startups, has unveiled the 65 pioneering companies selected for its prestigious 2025 Accelerator Cohort.

This year’s announcement highlights not only the cutting-edge nature of these startups but also the truly global scope of the cohort—an international showcase of medical innovation that spans 17 U.S. states and 13 countries across four continents.

Chosen from a pool of nearly 1,500 applicants, these 65 startups represent the top 4% of medtech ventures worldwide.

Through MTI’s flagship four-month program, the companies will receive mentorship, strategic guidance, and access to industry networks that are instrumental in advancing to the U.S. market.

What distinguishes this cohort, however, is the rich international diversity driving a shared mission: transforming patient care through breakthrough technologies.

A Global Roster of Health-Tech Trailblazers

MTI’s 2025 cohort brings together early and mid-stage startups in medical devices, diagnostics, digital health, and regenerative medicine. These companies come from medical innovation hubs across North America and Europe—and far beyond.

Three innovative U.S.-based startups in the cohort tackling some of healthcare’s biggest challenges:

Wavelet (New Haven, Connecticut) is developing wearable diagnostic solutions using biosignal data to monitor chronic conditions in real time.

SutureTech (Durham, North Carolina) is advancing surgical outcomes with a novel suturing device designed to reduce complications in minimally invasive procedures.

Luminoah (Charlottesville, Virginia) is transforming home enteral nutrition by introducing a connected system that gives clinicians real-time patient data to improve feeding outcomes.

Among the international medtech cohort members are:

ARTINESS (Milano, Italy) is contributing to cardiovascular advancements with its imaging technology.

CathVision (København NV, Denmark) brings innovation in cardiac electrophysiology.

Microplate Dx (Glasgow, UK) and The Flume Catheter Company (Farnham, UK) are revolutionizing diagnostics and urological care.

Cohesys (Toronto, Canada) and BioMimir (Sherbrooke, Canada) add to the regenerative medicine and orthopedic sectors with strong Canadian innovation.

Icometrix (Leuven, Belgium) and Indigo Diabetes (Gent, Belgium) bring AI-driven neuro and metabolic diagnostic tools.

This remarkable international and domestic cohort showcases the depth of medtech ingenuity happening not just in Silicon Valley but across the globe. It also reflects MTI’s growing influence as a platform for startups seeking U.S. market entry and partnership.

Non-Dilutive Funding, High-Impact Mentorship, and Global Exposure

Participants in the 2025 program will compete for $800,000 in non-dilutive funding, with winners determined by the audience vote during MTI’s showcase events at premier industry conferences.

The accelerator also offers access to a curated ecosystem of strategic manufacturers, investors, healthcare providers, and payers. These partnerships help startups refine their regulatory, reimbursement, and go-to-market strategies.

“MedTech Innovator’s accelerator is a comprehensive platform for risk mitigation and value creation that helps the world’s most promising medtech startups become investable,” said Paul Grand, CEO and founder of MTI. “This international cohort will benefit from deep mentorship and unmatched access as they advance toward U.S. market success.”

Special Tracks: Heart, Brain, and Surgery Innovation

Further emphasizing its collaborative ethos, MTI’s 2025 program includes specialty accelerator tracks developed in partnership with leading medical associations:

The Heart and Brain Health Accelerator (with the American Heart Association and its Center for Health Technology and Innovation) will include up to eight companies focusing on cardiovascular and neurological health.

The Plastic Surgery Accelerator (with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons) will mentor five companies innovating in surgical and reconstructive technology.

These specialty programs offer participating startups access to clinical expertise, validation opportunities, and additional investor exposure through focused industry events.

From Mountain View to San Diego: A Full Arc of Visibility

The 2025 program kicks off with an invitation-only Innovator Summit June 24–26 in Mountain View, California, bringing cohort founders together with MTI alumni, partners, and thought leaders.

On June 27, companies will pitch to investors at MedTech World in San Jose.

In October, all 65 companies will present at The MedTech Conference, powered by AdvaMed, in San Diego. The finals for early-stage startups will be held October 6, while the mid-stage finals will follow in November at the MedTech Strategist Innovation Summit, also in San Diego.

This arc of events ensures the international cohort is not only accelerated with support but is also strategically positioned for visibility in front of top global healthcare investors and stakeholders.

A Catalyst for Global Health Innovation

Backed by an impressive list of founding and program sponsors—including Johnson & Johnson MedTech, Olympus, Dexcom, BD, and Zimmer Biomet—MTI has become a powerful engine for medtech acceleration.

Since its inception, the program has graduated over 700 companies, introduced 400+ products to the market, and helped raise more than $10 billion in follow-on funding.

The 2025 cohort continues that legacy, but with a notably global footprint.

As medtech challenges—from chronic disease to surgical precision—know no borders, neither should innovation.

MedTech Innovator’s international cohort is proof that collaboration, mentorship, and the right accelerator infrastructure can amplify groundbreaking ideas from around the world—making health innovation truly borderless.
