In response to recent technological advances and an increasing demand for convenient payment solutions, special programs and events will be held as part of Consumer Electronics Week (CE Week), scheduled for June 24-25 at the NYC’s Metropolitan Pavilion. Focus will be placed on the variety of technologies emerging to replace traditional currency and retail transactions, according to a press release in advance of the week-long event.
Retail and banking are two of the latest arenas to be disrupted in the wake of new technologies, said Robin Raskin, Founder of Living in Digital Times, a CE Week partner. “Suddenly we find ourselves at a crossroads that can help brick and mortar, online stores and consumers have a more fluid experience. Vendors who understand the new economics will thrive.”
From June 24-25, CE Week exhibits will highlight innovation in consumer electronics, gathering leaders in media, trade analysis and technology to attend conference panels and discussions including a first-ever Bitcion showcase. The showcase is a product of CE Week’s partnership with CoinAgenda, providing a panel discussion that will demonstrate the most current Bitcoin initiatives.
On June 25th, a panel titled, the ‘Future of Retail’ will feature representatives leading payment companies, including major credit card companies. Moderated by Laura Heller, a digital retail expert from of Fierce Retail, this panel discussion will cover modern technologies disrupting retail like 3D scanning, retail showcasing and multichannel systems.
Though the CoinAgenda events will take place on June 24-25, CE Week 2015 will include citywide consumer electronics events from June 22-26. To register for CE Week, visit http://www.ceweekny.com/
