A new report shows how Blackbaud’s smart cloud fundraising and relationship management solution can measurably improve the fundraising tactics and marketing strategies of non-profits, health-care organizations, education institutions and foundations. According to Forrester Consulting who conducted the independent study, healthcare organizations using Blackbaud’s solutions can increase the volume of patient gifts by 40 percent and increase average size of patient gifts by 28 percent over a three-year period, essentially making for a 90 percent return on investment.

Virginia-based Innova Health Foundation, a participant in the study, saw the benefits of using Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT™ and Grateful Patient Solution. The Foundation which works to improve health through patient care, health education, and outreach can benefit from patients who want to show their thanks through a donation.

Paige Moses, associate vice president of Foundation Services at Innova Health, praised Blackbaud’s services saying that, “it would be impossible to identify the right patients to talk to without Blackbaud because of the volume coming into our system every day. We’ve been able to set up a process that can handle the volume of constituents Inova sees every day with a very lean staff.”

Indeed, by using Blackbaud’s services, Innova showed an increase in donations by $429,511 and an increase in mail donations by $142,300. Innova is now also able to maintain a higher level of efficiency and productiveness through more advanced technology, saving them more than $113,000 a year.

Page Bullington, president and general manager of South Carolina-based Blackbaud Healthcare Solutions, spoke about the long-term benefits that Blackbaud offers, apart from just financial services. “The ROI that Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT and Grateful Patient Solution brings Inova [allows them] to learn more about its constituents and leverage the combination of better data and enhanced functionality to focus its fundraising efforts, ultimately increasing its efficiency and effectiveness.”
