Based in Brooklyn, New York, Feel Good Foods, a gluten-free food startup and leading provider of chef-inspired, frozen snacks, sides and entrees, has secured major support from City Capital Ventures, LLC (CCV), a private investment partnership headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.  CCV joins with Feel Good Foods’ current ownership group led by the Company’s founders, Vanessa Phillips and Tryg Siverson, to provide capital and strategic support for the company’s continued growth. Ms. Phillips and Mr. Siverson remain as leaders of the company.

“It was imperative for us to partner with a team whose vision aligned with ours, and who we could wake up every day excited to work with. We are thrilled to report that we found that in City Capital Ventures, Feel Good Foods’ CEO, Vanessa Phillips, commented in a press statement.

Founded in 2011, Feel Good Foods focuses on gluten-free food with a global flair, having simple all-natural ingredients with no added preservatives, GMOs or fillers.  The company’s lines can be found in thousands of conventional, natural, and specialty grocery stores nationwide, including Whole Foods, Wegmans, Safeway and others.

“With its purpose and passion for bringing great tasting food that is also good for you to the frozen food aisle, Feel Good Foods is revolutionizing how people think about frozen food and establishing itself as the category leader,” said CCV Co-Founder and Managing Director Allen Tibshrany.

According to City Capital Ventures, as an investment partnership “they seek out firms with innovative business designs and look to invest at inflection points—not pre-determined stages”.  They are not bound by size or industry, but have particular interest in consumer, commercial and service businesses requiring up to $100 million of capital.
