The New Jersey Institute of Technology awarded its Alumni Achievement Award to entrepreneur Kiran K. Gill June 17, recognizing her many professional achievements in the field of innovative environmental technologies and her service to the Mercer County community, according to a press release.
President and CEO of Professional Associates in Regulatory Services Environmental, Inc., Gill and her company provide full-service environmental consulting focused on creative solutions. She began her career at PARS in 2003 as an intern, then purchased the company, growing its team by more than 10 times its original number and increasing revenue from $500,000 to more than $13 million.
The Alumni Association of NJIT serves the university through the development of programs, activities and events for alumni and friends.
Gill has also been named NJBIZ Magazine’s “Top Forty Under 40” Business Leader, New Jersey Small Business Person of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration and Best 50 Women in Business by NJBIZ Magazine. In 2013, she the Society of Indo-American Engineers and Architects honored her for her achievements and leadership of a woman- and minority-owned enterprise.
The successful business owner also maintains a position as a board member at The ONE Project, an interfaith and community coalition that aims to address social needs through education and volunteerism. Gill has also worked with Habitat for Humanity International, Global Village Program, Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she and a team of international volunteers worked together to build quality housing for families.
