Eight Sleep beds

The company’s AI-powered sleep optimization has been widely embraced, with over $500 million in sales and timely funding support to expand globally.

Eight Sleep has announced a $100 million funding round aimed at achieving measurable sleep improvements and proactive health benefits for consumers worldwide.

The investment will enhance AI-powered sleep optimization, support new medical solutions for conditions such as menopausal sleep and sleep apnea, and further international expansion, with a particular focus on the Chinese market.

Investors in this round include HSG, Valor Equity Partners, Atreides, Founders Fund, Y Combinator, and sports leaders such as Charles Leclerc and Zak Brown. The funding strengthens Eight Sleep’s position as a leader in sleep technology and preventive health.

A Proven Market Leader in Sleep Technology

Since launching its flagship Pod, Eight Sleep has generated over $500 million in sales and expanded to more than 30 countries, helping millions of people achieve truly restorative sleep.

By analyzing more than a billion hours of sleep data, the company makes personalized, science-based improvements that lead to better nightly recovery and health.

Matteo Franceschetti, Co-Founder and CEO of Eight Sleep, offers his view of the future.

“Our vision has always been clear: to deliver an integrated ecosystem of hardware, software, AI, and consumer products that optimize sleep and overall health. This funding allows us to accelerate our AI development, expand into medical use cases, and bring our technology to millions worldwide.”

Introducing the World’s First AI Sleep Agent

At the heart of Eight Sleep’s next phase is its breakthrough innovation: the Sleep Agent. Unlike traditional sleep trackers, which passively collect data, the Sleep Agent uses large language models and biometric data to optimize sleep in real-time.

The technology simulates thousands of digital twins for each user to predict and adjust variables like bed temperature, elevation, and cues. This predictive, personalized approach means users experience deeper, more restorative sleep—every night.

“We’re creating digital twins of your sleep physiology to simulate, test, and personalize your recovery before you even close your eyes,” said Franceschetti. “This is the next frontier of AI: not just monitoring, but truly understanding and adapting to your physiology.”

The Sleep Agent builds on Eight Sleep’s existing Autopilot feature, which already makes millions of nightly adjustments based on biofeedback, such as heart rate and breathing patterns.

Opportunities in Medical Applications

Eight Sleep is now expanding into medical applications, beginning with menopausal sleep and sleep apnea—two prevalent conditions that significantly impact quality of life.

The Pod’s biometric monitoring technology delivers high-accuracy tracking of cardiovascular and respiratory patterns, which Eight Sleep leverages to develop medical-grade solutions. These tools help provide early intervention and better health outcomes for specific clinical needs.

Eight Sleep has already introduced Hot Flash Mode, a dynamic cooling feature designed to address sleep disruptions associated with menopause. Next, it aims to tackle sleep apnea with contactless monitoring that prompts AI-driven interventions

International Market Expansion

The company’s expansion into China will advance wellness benefits to one of the largest health technology markets globally.

In addition to China, Eight Sleep is expanding its international presence through growth in Canada, the UK, the European Union, Australia, Mexico, and the UAE.

With $100 million in new funding, Eight Sleep will expand globally to make the bedroom central to proactive health management through AI-powered predictive modeling and medical applications.

As Franceschetti emphasized, “This is not just about better sleep. It’s about leveraging technology to unlock deeper recovery, better health, and longer lives.”
