Choosing from over 4,500 applicants, Moderne Ventures, a venture investment fund based out of Illinois, announced at their third annual Moderne Portfolio Company & Industry Summit the seven companies selected to participate in their annual Midyear Passport Program.
“These companies are addressing some of the core challenges facing our industries on a global scale,” explained Constance Freedman, Moderne Ventures Founder and Managing Partner in a press statement.
Companies are chosen based on their ability to offer innovative solutions to challenges in the areas of: real estate, finance, insurance, and home services. The Fund seeks early to late stage companies who already have a national, scalable product, Since the program is geared to grow, not build, attractive applicants usually have investors and have moved past seed funding.
Those chosen enter a 7-month immersive program that serves to refine each company’s strategy to acquire customers and investors. Support is given through one-on-one mentor meetings with senior executive leaders, opportunities to pilot with leading corporations, and exposure at industry conferences.
This year’s class touts almost $80 million in funding collectively and are valued at over $200 million together. The selected companies are: Dwelo, Geo CV, Havenly, PERQ, Shyft, Sisu, and Super.
