Drone technology is on its way to an exciting future as drone entrepreneurs begin to jump into the industry and discussion emerges of all the possible commercialization applications. With great excitement Drone World Expo hosted by JD Events announced the opening of its proposal submission period for speakers in anticipation of their Silicon Valley event to be held in San Jose, CA on November 17-18, 2015. The conference organizers view the Expo to be the “premier event for Commercial Drone technologies and applications,” as described in the recent Drone World Expo press release.
The focus of the event will be on the commercial application of drones in a range of industries including photography, videography, precision agriculture, security and public safety, mapping and surveying, inspections, research extraction, communications, parcel delivery and others. Speakers interested in participating in the Expo are encourage to offer proposals that will “inspire, surprise and inform buyers of companies” looking for commercial applications of drones.
Drone World Expo has broad corporate support from CNN, Chevron Energy, DPR Construction and PG&E whose representatives have joined the Advisory Board for the development of the conference program. Individuals from those firms will work with existing program members “who are contributing to help to shape a two-day conference that will feature sessions and case studies addressing data collection and processing, sensors, piloting and safety management, FAA updates, certification standards, and commercial strategies and will offer informative sessions on the impact drones are having on Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Big Data and the Internet of Things (IoT).”
