The Made in NY Media Center by IFP is holding its first Creative >> Founder Lab, a program that gives 20 entrepreneurs the resources to turn their creative concepts into small business.
Starting in July, the program will run eight weeks with workshops every Monday and opportunities throughout the week for group-study sessions, hours with the media center’s experts and networking events. Selected applicants will also receive 16 course modules facilitated by leading industry professionals, two months of community workspace at the media center and tickets to relevant industry events.
Pitch training, project management, marketing, grant funding and business development are just a few of the skills participants will gain from the program, in addition to feedback from staff and their peers. For a fee of $1,200, the 20 selected participants will walk away with a business plan and a network of leaders and peers in the media and entertainment industry.
