Teaneck based Cognizant, a global technology services company, announced on August 15th that HfS Rearch, an independent global analyst firm for the business and IT services industry, named them to the “Winner’s Circle” in the recently released HfS Research Blueprint Report: Utility Operations . This distinction denotes the major service provider as one of the highest overall performers in innovation and execution capabilities.

The HfS report focused on information technology, engineering services, and business processes in the utility chain. It analyzed the innovation and execution capabilities of 14 major service providers. HfS ranked the Winner’s Circle service providers as the highest overall performers, working “in collaborative engagements with clients and making recognizable investments in talent and technology capabilities to increase value, using business process as-a-service (BPaaS) to deliver insight driven services,” as stated in the announcement.

Compared to the 13 others in the HfS Blueprint, Cognizant’s ability to transform the technology, operating, and business models of their clients for greater effectiveness in a digital environment made them stand out among other companies in the field. Other stand-out strengths of Cognizant noted in the report include Cognizant’s investments in innovation and intellectual property, their delivery of actionable and accessible data, and their excellence in delivery.
