CB Insights carefully reviewed this year’s best in Fintech companies yielding 2020’s top Fintech 250. Listed within are 250 of the fastest-growing startups that are making groundbreaking progress in financial technology. Those selected from the over 16,000 applicants representing 25 countries in 19 separate categories that includes cryptocurrencies, insurance, among others.
“The previous Fintech 250 class raised more than $22 billion in investor financing and saw more than 20 exits after being recognized, and we expect this year’s class will have similar success as they continue to transform how people and businesses spend, save, borrow, and invest their money,” said Anand Sanwal, CEO of CB Insights.
Selected through an evidence-based approach, placement on the list is a result of a number of different factors. Straightforward categories like investor quality and market potential matter as much as tech novelty and the competitive landscape that yields an overall Mosaic Score. These scores based upon CB Insights’ algorithm offer growth potential and overall health of these privately held companies.
Among the 2020 list is Featurespace, for their use of Adaptive Behavioral Analytics and machine learning to create their ARIC™ Risk Hub. Dave Excell, Featurespace’s founder, said that it is an honor to make the Fintech 250 list along with others that share the spirit for innovation.
