The Financial Times published its inaugural list of The Americas’ Fastest Growing Companies 2020, recognizing the top 500 businesses of North. Central and South America based on the Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of the revenue information they submitted. The list identifies those for which creativity and innovation have driven their success, thereby contributing most to the economic growth of the Americas.
With the virus currently impacting all areas of business from the workforce to the economy at large, high creativity is seen as going hand-in-hand with resilience. 25% of the list is made up by companies within the tech sector, followed by support services with 9% and financial services making up 5%.
Coming in the top three are Niantic, UiPath, and Publisher First. All three companies come from the United States, and boast CAGRs just below 600%.
“These past two months, we have been laser-focused on managing the changes brought on by the public health crisis associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. This award announcement comes at the perfect time since it recognizes the years of dedication and hard work of a team that continues to rally together every day,” said Keone Trask, the President of 140th ranking company Clear Touch based in South Carolina. “We are honored to be named to this list because it highlights how we are stronger together and how our entire team is working, even now, to make an impact in our community and around the world.”
FT stresses that the ranking do not reflect the size of every country’s economy. The rankings are a function of how dynamic a given market is, and how willing the companies are to be candid with results to the research firm of Statista Inc.
