The winner of the 2018 Founder World Championship, a blockchain startup competition consisting of 20 companies pitching at the two-day Founder World Conference, is Equiti Games. The New York based company which allows gamers to own and sell their own digital games, takes home a $2 million prize in crypto investment.

Founded by Tony Caputo, Equiti Games uses Equiti Token as the native currency on their platform. They aim to decentralize licensing and distributing games by providing a primary market for game creators. The owners of the games can then sell or trade games, avoiding third-party distributors and bounty platforms.

Over 2000 developers, founders, and investors attended Founder World, networking and learning from industry experts in the blockchain sector. The public conference was hosted by F50, Silicon Valley Entrepreneurs, US China Blockchain Association, and Blockchain Founder Club with companies like Cisco and DispatchLabs contributing to training sessions.

Founder World assigned second place to SEAL, a blockchain powered product authentication platform, and third place to Yesbit, a platform to purchase, invest, and sell cryptocurrency. The competition also recognized categories of companies including ChanceChain, who won Best Woman Founder, and Social Chains, who won Best design and implementation. Other awardees were Frequency Music Foundation, who won Best Use Case, and Zeehaus, who won Best Presentation.

“We are very pleased to have a large diversity of great startups participating,” exclaimed Jim Steele, Venture Partner of F50 Ventures and Secretary General of the selection committee. “We are excited about the synergy from different global communities,” added Henry Xue, Vice President of US-China Blockchain Association.
