Entrepreneur Dr. Clive Meanwell will be the recipient of the Dr. Sol J. Barer Award for Vision, Innovation and Leadership that will be presented at this year’s BioNJ Gateway Gala. The 23rd Annual Dinner Meeting and Innovation Celebration will be held on February 4th at the Hilton East Brunswick.
The Dr. Sol J. Barer Award for Vision, Innovation and Leadership is presented each year to outstanding leaders who have made an impact on the growth of the New Jersey life sciences industry.
Dr. Meanwell is the founder and CEO of The Medicines Company, a leading life sciences company that focuses on pharmaceutical product development and commercialization. Under Meanwell’s leadership, The Medicines Company has presented technology solutions for acute cardiovascular care, surgery and perioperative care and treatments for serious infectious diseases.
The dinner meeting draws in over 800 attendees each year, offering networking opportunities along with award presentations. Included are the Innovator Awards recognizing companies with a footprint n New Jersey that have received a U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval in 2015. The Keynote will be delivered by Patrick Kennedy, author of A Common Struggle.
