BigApps Competition Finals Ceremony Approaching in September BigApps, a tech entrepreneur challenge competition designed to bring entrepreneurs and startups together in solving New York City‘s biggest problems, has announced that it will host the BigApps Awards Ceremony on September 16, 2014.

The BigApps Competition offers a set of “BigIdea Challenges” for its applicants to solve, or the applicants have the option of creating their own project to submit to the competition, as well. During the competition BigApps provided teams with expert mentors in fields of technology, design, government, finance, and more. Teams also were given access to the latest tech and information databases and platforms.

The application process ran from May to July 2014, and over a hundred teams vied for over $100,000 in various cash prizes that has now been narrowed down to 20. Projects will be celebrated and showcased at the BigApps Awards Ceremony in September, with more details to come.
