Showing its ongoing commitment to women entrepreneurs and specifically those in emerging countries, Babson College announced on August 2nd a second year-long business leadership program involving another group of female entrepreneurs from Africa.  Involving fourteen women from Kenya, the initiative entitled “Africa, Launch and Grow: The Kenyan Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Program” is a one-week intensive course at Babson followed by a year of continued mentoring.

Babson promotes entrepreneurship through education, with their Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership bringing inspiration and empowerment to women entrepreneurs through events and programs like “Africa, Launch and Grow”.  Created through a partnership between Banco Santander and The Women for Africa Foundation, the program creates economic and social value in Kenya by strengthening the skills of its business women.

The Executive Director for Babson’s Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership, Susan Duffy, talked about the most recent group participating in the June sessions in a press release, saying that, “It was an honor to work with such an extraordinary group of women.
