6 River Systems (6RS), a three year old startup that is combining the power of hardware, software, and data to build modern systems companies, closes out Q2 showing great success with their first-of-its-kind collaborative fulfillment solution. Their solution is now spread across 20 sites and nearly 300 robots, well on its way to meet their stated goal of 600 robots and 30 sites by year end.

The Massachusetts startup’s success propelled them to hire 45 new employees since the start of the year, with a head count expecting to reach 100+ by year end.  Notable new hires include Gillan Hawkes, joining the company as a Director of Product Management, and Félix Rodríguez, Software Engineering Lead of Tools & Simulations.

Co-CEO Rylan Hamilton talked more about the string of new hires, saying that. “As we scale our company with the most skilled workforce, we look to take on even greater challenges in our industry, always with the goal of providing the world’s best fulfillment solutions.”

Companies of all kinds benefit from 6RS solutions, with their two newest being ACT Fulfillment, a supply chain solutions and fulfillment services provider, and Medline, a global distributor and manufacturer of medical products.

Their pioneering solution to warehouse automation is Chuck, a collaborative and flexible mobile robot able to autonomously navigate a warehouse setting with cargo. New features include a floor view for operators, tracking the movements of all robots within the warehouse, new configurations including a wider robot or a three-tray setup, and autonomous charging.
