The 12th annual Hult Prize is looking for college students who want to change the world. The 2021 competition’s deadline is almost here, January 5th, and it is open to competing Hult Prize startups and the wider Hult community.
Following the application period, summits will be held for a dedicated startup track that determines the top attending team for each. It guarantees them a spot in a global, live, work and play accelerator program that takes place at the Hult Castle. Summits for the tracks will be held both virtually and in-country offline between March 1st and April 30th of 2021.
Team applications require a 500-word statement of purpose that addresses why the team should be selected to move to the next level of the competition. This part of the application process does not focus on the idea, rather than on the strength and ability of the team to develop and sustain a startup that will change the world and solve this year’s challenge. Hult does not guarantee invitations to the Regional Impact Summits, just their best efforts to find the teams and ideas that are most innovative and likely to have success.
Last year’s contest drew more than 250,000 participants from around the world and over 100,000 applicants. More than 100 cities were involved and the winning team came from Mexico, addressing the challenge of youth unemployment. This year the challenge is “Food for Good” that transforms food into a vehicle for change. Apply here.
