Florida-based goTRG, known for their Omni-Channel, supply chain and reverse logistics solutions, was named this week as a finalist in the 2018 Edison Awards in the applied technology category. Recognition through this prestigious award was due in part to their R1 technologies solution that takes all of goTRG’s supply chain and Omni-Channel workflows and packages them into a single, cloud-based platform—operating as a true end-to-end solution.
The awards, given to companies since 1987 having a positive impact through innovation, serve to advance innovation in all industries by honoring excellence in service and product development. Taking the name from inventor Thomas Alva Edison, the Edison Awards foster innovation and discovery globally. With the Edison Universe now serving as host, the focus is on maintaining Edison’s legacy of successfully having brought an unprecedented number of innovations to the market. The many award nominees reflect this mission.
Sender Shamiss, CEO of goTRG, talked about their achievement in a released statement, saying that, “We are so proud to have been recognized as a global innovator by the Edison Awards. The organization is guided by the impressive legacy and vision of Thomas Edison. At goTRG, we salute any and all efforts to acknowledge high-tech innovation and are excited to be included in such an illustrious group of honorees.”
The R1 technologies drive complex data gathering, and deep learning analytics yielding the highest sell-through and net margins for every touch, movement, sort and pricing decision, making it a leading innovator in tech-driven market-changing logistics solutions. Notable clients include: Amazon.com, Walmart, Staples, ebay.com and others.
Following the announcement of other semi-finalists in mid-February, the winners will be presented in New York City at a gala on April 11th.
