For the tenth year in a row, Amber Road, a top provider of global trade management solutions (GTM), has been honored by Supply & Demand Chain Executive (SDCE). After being nominated by their customer, NCR Corporation, Amber Road is being recognized once again in the Top 100 Award for 2015 for providing customers with premiere global supply chain solutions.
“We applaud the recognition of NCR Corporation’s success in its innovative use of our multi-mode visibility tools and in streamlining its supply chain operations on a global scale,” said Stephanie Miles, senior vice president of commercial services for Amber Road. “We could not have attained this prestigious award without our most valuable resource ““ our customers. A collaborative approach with NCR Corporation was key to achieving this honor.”
Supply & Demand Chain Executive, a user manual and publication for successful supply and demand chain management, created the SCDE 100 to recognize “successful and innovative supply chain projects delivering bottom-line value to small, medium and large enterprises.”
“With this year’s Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100, we are featuring Great Supply Chain Projects that demonstrate the broad spectrum of opportunities for enabling excellence in the supply chain,” said Barry Hochfelder, editor of Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “There are innovations here that help reduce costs, smooth out kinks in distribution networks, improve forecasting accuracy and solve warehousing and transportation problems, to mention just a few.”
NCR Corporation chose to nominate Amber Road following their successful use of Amber Road’s Supply Chain Visibility solution. This transformative project served as a guide for NCR to accelerate operational improvements.
“The landed cost visibility project is a critical supply chain project for NCR,” said Josh Skeen, director of global transportation sourcing & optimization at NCR Corporation. “With Amber Road’s support, NCR has been able to achieve our original objectives and allowed us to move toward our longer term goals for the project: a part-level landed cost database to make procurement, network design and manufacturing decisions globally.”
