The top award is one of a growing list of recognitions for the company’s ongoing innovation in medical devices.

San Diego-based Xenco Medical, a leader in biomedical engineering, data science, and clinical practice, has been named Medical Device/Diagnostics Company of the Year at the 2025 PM360 Trailblazer Awards.

Industry leaders gathered at Gotham Hall in New York City to recognize organizations driving meaningful change in healthcare.

Xenco Medical received this honor for developing biomimetic implants, regenerative biomaterials, and composite polymer surgical instruments integrated with AI-powered software.

Founded in 2011, the company brought together experts in materials science, AI, and clinical practice to design surgical systems that enhance patient outcomes and provider efficiency.

Jason Haider, Xenco Medical’s Founder and CEO, expressed what the award represents as more than industry recognition.

“We are profoundly honored to have been named the Company of the Year in the Medical Device/Diagnostics category at the 2025 Trailblazer Awards,” he said. “We look forward to continuing to translate the abounding promise of science into a transformative impact on the lives of countless patients.”

Xenco Medical’s innovations help healthcare facilities allocate resources more efficiently, focusing on clinical outcomes and reducing operating room turnover times while improving workflows without compromising patient safety.

Lowering the Barriers of Surgical Care

Central to the company’s technology is TrabeculeX Continuum, a proprietary platform inspired by mechanotransduction, the process by which cells detect and respond to mechanical stimuli.

The company’s single-use implant and instrument systems remove the need for sterilization and reprocessing, streamlining surgical operations.

This platform enables surgeons to remotely track pain levels, mobility recovery, and rehabilitation using AI, as well as support patients after discharge with continuous, data-driven insights.

A Prestigious Recognition

Xenco Medical joins Merck & Company and Vertex Pharmaceuticals, which were also honored for leadership, innovation, and measurable impact in their respective categories.

Xenco Medical’s recognition at the 2025 Trailblazer Awards highlights how scientific rigor and operational foresight are setting new standards in surgical care.

“Their work improves lives, advances care, and drives the kind of progress that truly matters,” PM360 CEO and Publisher Anna Stashower.
